(2)When his medical activities have been suspended in accordance with the provisions of Article 7 paragraph 2 of the Medical Practitioners Law;
(3)When he is guilty of misconduct or has made a serious mistake in the pursuit of his duties as a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner.

 

3. The Minister of Transport shall, when the designation becomes invalid in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 1 or the designation has been revoked in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, serve public notification to that effect.

 

(Designated Aviation Medical Institution)
Article 62-(2). Any person who will obtain a designation under Article 61 paragraph 1 shall submit to the Minister of Transport an application for the designation of an aviation medical institution (Form No. 24-2) together with the documents certifying that he meets the requirements under each item of the following paragraph.

 

2. The designation under Article 61 paragraph 1 is established for medical institutions, etc. which meet the requirements under each item of the following:
(1) To be a hospital or clinic which has obtained permission under Article 7 of the Medical Service Law (Law No. 205 of 1948) or a clinic which has made a report under Article 8 of the same Law, or a medical institutions, etc. located outside of Japan, designated by a Contracting State of the Convention on International Civil Aviation as institutions authorized to perform aviation medical certification;
(2)Medical Practitioners who perform a medical examination shall be posted in excess of the necessary number on each medical subject;
(3)Equipment and instruments necessary for medical examination shall be provided;
(4)When a part of a medical examination is allotted to other medical institutions, etc., the said medical institution etc. shall conform to the requirements under the preceding three subparagraphs concerning the medical examination to be allotted;
(5)Any personnel with adequate knowledge regarding aviation medical certification and are able to efficiently manage office work for a medical examination (hereinafter referred to as “business administrator”) shall be posted;
(6)An examination system which provides for a thorough medical examination shall be available.

 

3. The designation under Article 61 paragraph 1 is established when a certificate of an appointment designated aviation medical institution (Form No. 24-3) is issued. In this case, as a term of validity as a condition may be attached to the said designation.
